PIGS TO GO!

Based on our persistent efforts, support of MLA, & relentless filing of RTI's, a great thing has happened:

1) Last week the JC published a notification in newspapers giving notice to all pig owners to remove their pigs from BBMP limits asap.

2) Starting tomorrow, there will be a big drive from BBMP to remove all the pigs. It will continue for 3-4 days and it will be done under police protection. This time the pig owners will not remove but the government will remove. They have shown great courage as pig owner is also a big man and he has tried every trick in the world to stop this including threatening etc. There will be television crew, police protection along with this action.

There are 20 people hired to do this job and two big trucks also will be there.

This all shows the power of unity, persistence and democracy.

PARK IN 22A MAIN SECTOR 2

Hi
Being a mother of a toddler myself, I was very happy when the play equipments were installed in the parks in HSR Layout. But, its very sad to see some older kids get unruly and misuse the equipments. One of the slides in the 2nd sector play area was broken within a week of its installation. There should be someone monitoring the kids. May be the gardener/caretaker can be given this duty. Also, it would be great if the parents taught the kids the importance of using them responsibly.
Regards
Priya.
